Dan, a Rapid City native, specializes in the rehabilitation and prevention of sports-related injuries. He regularly serves as a physical therapist both in the US & overseas, working with Olympic athletes in a variety of sports including track & field, basketball, and professional hockey. Notably, Dr. Jensen was selected to be a member of an international sports medicine team by Tim Grover (CEO of Attack Athletics, trainer to Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and other professional athletes) to be the Lead Physical Therapist for hundreds of athletes at the Shanghai Sports Institute. He has presented internationally on the topics of sports rehabilitation and injury prevention, specifically on current concepts related to athletic hip injuries and treatment. 

Dr. Jensen received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities where he was involved in research on foot & ankle biomechanics. Dr. Jensen has conducted research and published papers in medical journals on the topics of injuries in youth athletes and musculoskeletal injury in Paralympic athletes.

Outside of work Daniel spends his free time snowboarding, training, hunting, and is an avid baseball and basketball enthusiast. He enjoys traveling and exploring the beautiful Black Hills with his wife and 2 daughters.

Dr. Jensen is the only Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy in Rapid City. He served as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Black Hills State University, where he was been named a South Dakota Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network Fellow through the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
